An Estonian photographer recently found the End of the World Cinema, seemingly transplanted to the middle of the Egyptian desert.

Sometime in the past fifteen years, an ‘eccentric’ Frenchman decided to build an outdoor cinema nestled in the dunes of the Sinai Desert in Egypt, accessible by just one road (Dusti Road, of course). The judgement that led to such a venture may be questionable, as the fully constructed cinema never even made a successful debut screening due to tension with the local authorities, but the scene left behind is the perfect blend of picturesque and mysterious. This faux relic of a past age, dubbed the End of the World Cinema, was recently (re)discovered and photographed by Estonian photographer Kaupo Kikkas. Kaupo Kikkas Source: Taxi
