Designer and entrepreneur Zachary Rotholz recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the latest design in his Chairigami line of furniture.

Chairigami is a line of recyclable, cheap, flat-packed corrugated cardboard furniture that have been popular in trade shows, temporary events, and even offices. The furniture line includes desks and desk chairs, shelves, sofas, and tables. Rotholz creates all of the Chairigami furniture by hand at his store in New Haven, Connecticut. Handcrafting each piece limits production, but Rotholz is looking to change that.

The Standing Desk is one of Chairigami’s most popular products and the startup has partnered with a manufacturing facility in Connecticut to increase production.

Chairigami furniture is made of triple wall corrugated cardboard, but the new Standing Desk will be made out of single wall cardboard. The 15-pound, 42-inch standing desk can hold up to 300 pounds of things on top of it. Like the rest of the Chairigami line, it comes in pieces that can be folded and slotted together without the need for glue or any type of fasteners.

The Kickstarter campaign for the Standing Desk runs until April 12th. The Early Bird slots have all been snatched up, but backers can still pre-order a Standing Desk for as low as $85.
