In April, IKEA is releasing its 8th IKEA PS collection, which is designed for “a home in constant motion, always ready for new situations and furniture needs.”

The IKEA PS 2014 collection, which the Swedish furniture company is calling its boldest one so far, specifically targets young urbanites who “live in the moment” and more often than not have limited space and a need to be able to easily pack up and go when required.

The pieces in the collection were created by a team of young designers who were chosen to work with IKEA’s in-house design team. The collection doesn’t include core functional pieces like a bed or a sofa, but the items are designed to be multi-functional.

Peter Klinkert, Project Manager for the IKEA PS collections, states,

We’ve chosen to devise a series of products that offer cutting-edge design that remains affordable. These are multifunctional designer objects that involve us in the design conversation, depending on where we place them and how we use them.

The collection will be in stores starting April 1st.
