Created by Sahas Katta, the Smartcar is an automated system that makes intelligent in-car adjustments to better suit the driver.

Specially designed for Tesla Model S and the upcoming Tesla Model X, this app’s “self-learning” function connects wirelessly to Internet-enabled cars, and can dramatically reduce the driver’s electric bill by up to 75%.

One of the main features of this subscription service is its pre-conditioning of the car’s interior temperature, which ensures an always-comfortable driving experience even before the driver places his foot on the gas pedal. The other notable feature is its automatic control over car’s charging periods, which can delay sessions for when local utility prices are off-peak.

At the moment, Smartcar can be pre-ordered for $5o, but eventually users will have to pay $100 per year. This self-made crowdfunding venture is looking for Tesla owners to support their idea, so if you are interested, check out their official website.
