E-Ink Coffee Mug Switches Its Design With Every Cup

You might be familiar with the thermal-sensitive coffee cups that change their designed when a hot beverage is poured into them. But what if that design, instead of something generic and kitschy, could be a snapshot that’s of significance to you? Paulig, a small Finnish coffee roaster, and TBWA\Helsinki, the Finnish arm of the international advertising agency, joined forces recently to create a coffee mug called Muki with an E-Ink display that connects to social media and an associated app, making it possible for users to personalize their coffee-drinking experience in a new, immediate way.
