Dogs might be known as man’s best friend, but there is one in Tokyo that is also going for the title of best shopkeeper. The Shiba Inu has been trained to open the store’s window when a customer rings the doorbell. Apart from the fact the dog is extremely cute and intelligent, it has also managed to attract people from all around the world just to come and buy something from the store.

There are two videos to choose from, the first is in Japanese and has managed to garner over 1 million views so far, while the other is in English and also shows people how to find the store. Located in a remote part of Western Tokyo, the tobacco shop is about 1.5km from Musashi-Koganei station.

According to the video, the owner is always keen to meet new people, and will normally let people feed the Shiba Inu with various treats. There is even a guestbook on the counter outside the store where people can leave a message for the dog and its owner. You’d be surprised how many different nationalities have ventured out of the city center to track down the four-legged shopkeeper.
