French company develops a sci-fi grill with a staggering price tag

While many people would consider barbecuing an art form, the French company Cesarré seems to think that a BBQ grill should be a piece of art as well. The result is Kara, a BBQ that features two concentric rings and looks like it would be more at home in the sci-fi TV series Stargate SG-1. Well aware that fine art is often expensive, the company have also attached an impressive price tag to the grill.

Inside the two carefully angled rings is a suspended cooking platform that relies on an otherwise ordinary fuel source – charcoal. While that means you don't have to buy a new form of intergalactic fuel to cook your hamburgers, it does ruin a bit of the mystery that surrounds the BBQ grill.
