Players can use the Kinect or PlayStation 4 camera to scan their face and customize their MyPlayer

The upcoming video game NBA 2K15 adds a new level of customization by utilizing face scanning technology. This enables players to see themselves living the life of an NBA athlete in MyCareer and multiplayer modes. A new video has also been released for the game, which highlights the technology in a humorous way.

In NBA 2K15, players can scan their face into the game in order to get a little closer to experiencing what it’s like to play in the NBA. The new in-game technology enables players to directly scan their face through first-party camera hardware (Kinect and PS4 camera). They can then use the face scan in MyCareer mode and multiplayer gameplay modes.
