Bay Area restaurant group Ne Timeas doles out song menus as well to show patrons what they are listening to while they eat

Restaurant menus usually come in twos or threes: there’s always the food menu, normally a drinks menu and then occasionally a specials or tasting menu as well. But at restaurants owned by San Francisco restaurant group Ne Timeas, diners get one more menu to peruse: one of the albums that will be played during the evening.

Ne Timeas has music directors on staff who create playlists for its restaurants flour+water, Central Kitchen and Salumeria. Each restaurant has a different ambiance, and so, like many restaurants, the music is carefully selected to fit the mood. On a Ne Timeas blog post interview, music directors Maddy Dewitt-Hoeger and Leia Layus explain:
