Google Testing Service To Connect Patients With Doctors Over Video Chat

Google is in the process of testing out a new program to turn turn the internet into a great source for real medical advice and not just hearsay, by connecting patients directly with doctors over video chat. The company explained that “When you're searching for basic health information — from conditions like insomnia or food poisoning — our goal is provide you with the most helpful information available. We're trying this new feature to see if it's useful to people.” The service ties into the already existing service Helpouts, a marketplace where ‘experts’ can charge to give lessons and advice over video chat.
