London design studio creates low-cost solution to tea drinkers' dilemma

For many countries around the world, tea is part of the culture. And although loose teas were the norm until commercially tea bags became more prevalent in the early 1900s, most tea drinkers are familiar with the inconvenience of having their teabag tags fall into their cups. London-based design studio Double Yolks has come up with a simple solution to problem.

Their creation, dubbed Tag Tag, is a special tag coated by an adhesive similar to postage stamps. When moistened the tag affixes to the outside of the cup to hold the tea bag in place while pouring water into the cup.
