A collaboration with WertelOberfell has resulted in concepts inspired by three 'design epochs'

Panasonic has collaborated with the German design firm WertelOberfell to create a series of 3D-printed camera cases inspired by three different “design epochs.” The cases, which are currently only concept designs, showcase how cameras can utilize tech innovations for contemporary and customizable aesthetics.

Panasonic gave WertelOberfell the opportunity to combine their compact Lumix DMC-GM1 interchangeable lens camera with 3D-printed parts in order to create some exciting new designs. The project was inspired by different design epochs such as art nouveau, modernism, and digitalism. It aims to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing in terms of detailing and material thicknesses.
