Industry expert reviews the interdsciplinary NYC conference

Ad:tech, the 10-city global conference exploring the intersection of advertising and technology, held its 2014 New York exhibit last week from November 5-6. The event came at a particularly poignant time for NYC, whose tech industry has grown to to rival its financial sector and has established its own “Silicon Alley.”

New York’s practices of traditional advertising are being challenged by new developments in communication and technology, and Madison Avenue is taking notice. PSFK spoke with Lori Schwartz, managing partner of consulting firm StoryTech, about her experience at ad:tech NYC. Schwartz, who hosted the conference’s keynote panels, has been profiled as one of the “30 Executives Shaping the Evolution of Media and Technology.”
