La Sagrada Familia will undergo a series of developments over the next two years, and is set to be completed by 2026

After 132 years of construction, the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia has approximately 12 more years until its final completion. Since the death of its leading architect and Barcelona's cultural icon Antoni Gaudí, the building has been a center of controversy. Only some sketches and models survived the Spanish Civil War, and modern designers have taken over the project while trying to preserve Gaudi's unique style and the structures Gothic and Art Nouveau forms.

Since 1990, architects have been using computer aided design technology to speed up construction, and technology is also being employed to give guests an idea of what is exactly going on. Last year, an animated aerial fly-through was produced to highlight the basilica's progress and celebrate the announcement of a 2026 completion date. Now, a follow up video has been released that focuses attention on what will take place on the construction site these next two years.
