The ‘Writer Emergency Pack’ provides useful ideas and plot directions to help spark writers’ imaginations

Sometimes, it can be difficult enough just figuring out the next word to write, let alone the next idea. And, all too often, this is where writers can get stuck. In this state of literary emergency, there’s only one place to turn.

The Writer Emergency Pack is a campaign currently up on Kickstarter that aims to give writers ideas for getting unstuck through illustrated cards.

Created by John August, a screenwriter who has worked on movies such as Big Fish and Frankenweenie, the Writer Emergency Pack is a curated collection of tips and “immediately useful ideas.” Each deck contains 26 illustrated cards with a different idea, tailored to help people writing fiction get their story back on track.
