South Korean Service Unveils Internet of Things Furniture
SK Telecom has teamed up with local brand Hyundai Livart to transform the home as we know it
In the future, instead of phoning people on your iPhone or Blackberry, you could use your sofa to make calls. While you’re at it, you could check the weather on your wardrobe or search for recipes on your kitchen cupboards.
South Koreans will be able to do this sooner than most, as the country’s largest mobile carrier, SK Telecom, has joined forces with local furniture manufacturer, Hyundai Livart, to make internet of things-connected household goods. The objects will be able to interact with one another as well as to connect to the web.
