Toronto train passengers will soon be able to bypass ticket windows and machines and pay using smartphones, thanks to a new app in the works for 2015. Bytemark, a New York-based mobile solutions company, is developing the app for the upcoming Union Pearson Express line, part of Toronto’s regional public transit provider Metrolinx. By using the free app, passengers will be able to buy and store rail tickets on their smartphones. The convenient commuting app will also support ticket sales online and onboard trains.
