The geolocation platform is out to simplify navigating the world for everyone in it

According to a new startup, much of our world is “really poorly addressed,” making the task of giving directions very difficult. Their solution to this problem is a platform that assigns unique combinations of words, rather than unwieldy number strings, to every single spot in the world (and is really, really fun to play around with).

Simply, what3words is a GPS- and map-driven app and platform that provides users with a 3-word code for a given location, having already assigned one to every 3-square meter plot on Earth. PSFK’s headquarters, for example, are located at else.rush.button, while Calle de Goya, 3, Madrid, Spain is at madder.imported.guitar and the US Embassy in Mozambique can be found at poem.blackbird.races.
