French artists Zim&Zou crafted the Creative Factory installation out of colored paper

French artist duo Zim&Zou; (Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann), who studied graphic design and have worked for clients including Hermès and IBM, recently designed a handmade installation called the Creative Factory. The artists often focus on installations using handcrafted objects made out of tangible materials like paper and wood, and this impressive piece is no different. Like many of their previous works, this creation is bold, colorful and imaginative.

The idea behind the handmade installation was to create something that visualizes the dichotomy between a unique hand crafted machine and the automation of industrial production of objects. Made from colored paper, it features bright blue, purple, pink, orange and green on the many screens, levers, buttons and gears that cover the machine.
