Bud Light Button Delivers Beer With a Tap of Your Smartphone
The app from Bud Light offers speedy beer delivery and slew of spontaneous experiences
The Bud Light Button app enables consumers to order beer as well as spontaneous experiences through their smartphone. Bud Light partnered with its digital agency AKQA and platform provider Klink to create the unique service, which offers a new way to order and enjoy the popular beer.
The beer delivery app — which launched in the Washington, D.C. area on January 15th — allows users to order Bud Light with just a simple tap of their finger. It hopes to stand out from the rest of the competition with the unique “Up for Whatever” experiences that accompany certain deliveries made through the app.
Consumers who download the Bud Light Button (it is currently available on Android, with iOS coming soon) could end up getting more than just beer when they use the app. The brand has infused it with spontaneous and fun experiences, which could tempt more users to try out this fresh way to enjoy Bud Light. Lucas Herscovici, Anheuser-Busch vice president of consumer connections, said:
“Some people will get just a little something extra, like Bud Light-branded gear, but once in a while, we’re going to deliver a really over-the-top, amazing experience. Maybe that means we show up with a DJ who turns your gathering of friends into an amazing event. The only way to find out for sure what we’re going to do is to grab your phone and use the Bud Light Button.”
The Bud Light Button offers quick and easy one-tap beer delivery, with users able to scan their credit card to make repeat purchases even more convenient. The app tracks the user’s current location for a smooth delivery, so ordering is as simple as tapping a button.
Consumers can order between one and one hundred cases of beer and get them delivered in under an hour by Klink, a new alcohol delivery app that utilizes independent retailers in order to fulfill deliveries.
