Nest's smart thermostat is now compatible with multiple home appliances

Nest's thermostat — a simply designed smart thermostat that learns your family's temperature preferences and daily schedule to minimize energy use while keeping everybody comfortable — has received a lot of attention since its debut in 2011. If their CES announcement this weekend goes as expected, the device can expect to receive even more.
