This week, a not-for-profit group will promote the technology during the year's most electrified conference

From the birth of computers, their benefits and utility have always come saddled and entangled with nests of wires. As the need for cords steadily falls away, one organization is positioning itself to dominate the field of wireless charging–cord-free tech’s final frontier–starts this week in Nevada.

Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) board member WiTricity announced its plans last month to demonstrate the capabilities of Rezence, an A4WP-backed wireless charging technology, during the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). In addition to offering wireless charging hotspots for attendees’ devices, the company’s exhibits will include “a glimpse at the ‘Home of the Future,'” WiTicity’s Prodigy™ demo units, and consumer and automotive demonstrations.
