Starwood predicts boom in tourism to South America city with introduction of luxury hotel

Travel in Colombia has not traditionally been associated as a market for modern lifestyle and luxury, but the recent unveiling of W Bogota in Colombia introduces a brand new experience to the country’s tourism industry. The hotel debut marks the 46th W Hotel worldwide and the third W Hotel in Latin America, and amplifies the city’s hospitality scene with its own interpretation of luxury in a capital full of fashion, design and cultural history.

In 2014, W Hotels Worldwide, a part of Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide reimagined the hospitality industry through the use of innovative technology across locations from rolling out keyless room entry to robotic butlers. In addition, W, Le Méridien and Four Points by Sheraton have future plans to operate in destinations such as Goa and Bhutan where the brands predict market expansion for 2015 and beyond.
