E-commerce giant could offer budding inventors an all-inclusive package that could challenge Kickstarter, Quirky, Etsy and others

Amazon has a new venture in the works that intends to bridge the gap between the e-commerce giant and hopeful hardware and electronics companies, re/code reports. The “end-to-end platform for startups”, as is described in job posts for the new undertaking, “will service inventors and entrepreneurs.”

A source told re/code that Amazon is “trying to figure out how to engage with startups in new product categories in a more thoughtful way”, pursuing categories such as robots and wearables.
