With an estimated 50 million users and more than 1 billion swipes per day it is safe to say that Tinder has brought an end to the traditional dating scene. Nowadays, it is all about the easy meetup, noncommittal relationship, and steamy casual hookup.
Exchanging numbers at the coffee shop and the nerve-wrenching phone call that follows to set up a date are things of the past and largely not part of the millennial culture. Tinder eases fear of rejection by creating an environment that allows young (and yes, not-so-young) adults to connect digitally and get to know each other before that awkward first date.
