Virgin opens first hotel which coincides with launch of a personal comfort app for guests

The long-awaited first location of Virgin Hotels opened this past week in Chicago and with that, Virgin released its smartphone app for guests. Named Lucy, Virgin hopes it can add a level of personalization and personality lacking in other hotel apps.

Key features include:

Reservations – Users can make reservations with the hotel directly through the app.

Tour Guide – Lucy is equipped with beneficial knowledge and recommendations from locals.

Thermostat Control – Lucy can control the guest’s room temperature from anywhere within the property.
