Cinderella's Glass Slipper Gets a Luxury Redo
Nine world-leading luxury shoe brands reimagine the Disney staple
You know the story: Cinderella goes to the ball and leaves her glass slipper behind in her haste to return home before her coach and gown turn into pumpkins. Later, Prince Charming identifies her by matching that slipper to her foot. Why the slipper didn't also turn into a pumpkin at midnight is never fully explained.
Fast forward a few hundred years, and Disney is partnering with nine top luxury shoe designers to reimagine and redesign Cinderella's iconic dancing shoe. In addition to the conceptual sketches, each shoe will be available for purchase at select retailers in Beverly Hills, Dubai, London, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris and Tokyo.
