Now in beta, the service allows users to book flights online as they would car service

New Yorkers have always been forced to trek to planes via buses, trains, and automobiles, all while subject to the ebb and flow of traffic. An Uber-like service, however, stands to change all that by offering (barring teleports) the very fastest of trips to regional airports, and in rush-hour-free skies.

Launched this month, Gotham Air offers helicopter rides — with an estimated travel time of 6 minutes — from downtown Manhattan to John F. Kennedy (JFK) and Newark Liberty (EWR) airports.
