Retina beams and projection triggers are included in Magic Leap's patent filing for augmented reality tech

Augmented reality is one of technology’s hot topics: from Facebook’s Oculus Rift to mass-market cardboard headsets, corporate giants and startups alike are looking to hop on the AR trend. However, the most drastic developments in the field are anticipated to come by the way of Magic Leap, a secretive developer that has raised $542 million in funding, with Google as a leading investor.

Deliberately vague in their public communication, Magic Leap describes its product as “cinematic reality” — a 3D experience more realistic than anything in market today.
