Surf Clock Uses LittleBits to Visualize Rhode Island Tide Swells
Zachary McCune designed a cloud-connected display that shows wave height updates
Designed by social media strategist Zachary McCune, the Tide Machine is a simple ‘clock’ device that shows the heights of the waves in Newport, Rhode Island.
McCune created the device, a cloud-connected display, using If This Then That (IFTTT) Surfline reports and a LittleBits circuit.
LittleBits are electronic modules that snap together via magnets and allow makers and inventors of all ages to easily create fun projects – including musical instruments or connected devices – without the need to do any wiring, soldering or programming.
