A new device from New York Times R&D keeps meeting minutes focused

New York Times R&D lab's newest offering highlights only the most important, relevant moments of a meeting with their Semantic Listening Table.

The table looks like many other teleconference options, with a speaker at the center.

Also at the center is a dynamic microphone paired with a single pixel thermal camera that determines where each voice is coming from for later pairing with a name when it comes time to transcribe the recording.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
