Nike and Adidas are using new apps as mechanisms to drive brand engagement. More specifically, the two brands are leveraging mobile devices to keep consumers in the loop with products and product launches, specifically where sneakers are concerned, and to augment the shoe-purchasing experience.
Especially crucial in all of this is user experience, user interface and functionality.
The Nike SNKRS app functions as a staying-in-the-loop tool, where users are able to keep up-to-date with the latest wear from the brand, browse various content and shop.
