PSSST is a speaker taped to public places designed to spark change in the status quo

A group of students in the Innovation Design Engineering program at the Royal College of Art London has created a device that facilitates a new approach to activism called PSSST The Speaker.

The speaker has an audio message loaded onto it that is deployed in the urban environment using a tape roll. The goal is to send a message that is more than just a Facebook ‘Like', Twitter ‘Favorite' or petition signature. It seeks to fill the void between traditional activism (public demonstrations) and slacktivism.
