StoryCorps is an audio recording app that allows individuals to record in-depth conversations and share those recordings with the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.

The app will record around a question that’s “live” at the time, with the selected questions geared toward getting to know somebody and the unique experiences that person want to share. Once started, the app records at radio-quality, then—if set to do so—send a copy of the file to the StoryCorps website. Periodically, StoryCorps will send the files to the Library of Congress, where they will join the largest volume of recorded human voices in the world.
