A Fiat-Microsoft promotional display ripped from the screens of a summer blockbuster

At the New York Auto show last week, Fiat promoted its 500X model with an interactive display that lets people turn, rotate, change and even throw the one-and-a-half-ton vehicle.

The display incorporated a 12-foot wide, 7-foot high screen with a Microsoft Kinect console and interactives designed by Icon Interactive. A life-size image of the 500X was displayed on the screen, and viewers were invited to swipe to interact with the model. Different gestures would rotate or flip the car, change its color and the background scenery, or throw objects at it like beach balls and basketballs.
