Sony and Ford worked to bring audio that replicates a live concert into a vehicle interior

Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station was briefly transformed into a nightclub complete with DJs spinning dance music. But the usual stacks of speakers for delivering the sound were replaced with a new Ford Explorer. The event was a showcase for a new in-vehicle audio system developed by Ford and Sony that brings a premium home audio experience to a car interior.

To show off the quality and capabilities new sound system, DJ duo The Jane Doxe set up a Bluetooth link between their decks and the Explorer and gave it a workout.
