The bonsai principle of letting nature do the work holds true in Full Grown line of furniture

When you found out, as a kid, that furniture grew from trees, you probably never saw anything the same way again. But unlike what British furniture maker Gavin Munro did a little later in life, you probably didn’t envision furniture that could grow naturally, forming shapes with which we’re familiar without the need for processing the wood, not to mention the discipline of carpentry.

His cradle-to-grave furniture production initiative, called Full Grown, was indeed inspired by a moment in his childhood when he glimpsed a bonsai tree that looked a bit like a chair. As treatment for curvature of the spine forced him to sit still for long periods, he realized how inspired he was by the stillness and patience involved in training the fruits of nature.
