Long-Distance Gifts Call You When They’re Opened by Recipient
Interactive agency Frolic solves long-distance giving hangups with Omni Present
What’s more enjoyable—giving or receiving a gift? While it’s nice to be the recipient of a new toy or gizmo, many people find more joy in purchasing the perfect present and witnessing their friend’s reaction. However, the gratification of exchanging gifts is complicated when friends live far from one another.
Long distance gift giving is the challenge interactive studio Frolic set out to solve in their newest installation of 24Frolic, a 24-hour design series.
Partner Andrew Spitz’ mother lives in France, while the design studio is based in Amsterdam; despite their distance, Spitz wanted to create a way to be “present” when his mother received and opened a gift from him.
