These low tables from Nendo and Glas Italia have a glow all their own

Lighting is an area of continual innovation, and it's surprising that none of that has rubbed off on furniture design. But recently, Japanese designer Nendo (whose experimental work with office furniture we've covered before) has found a surreal and stunning intersection between furniture and light, creating three glass pieces for Glas Italia that appear pulled from a rainbow.

Glas Italia took on the manufacturing of these complex and unique pieces, while Nendo thought up the design. Previous collaborations between the two include deep sea, with its gradations of blue coloring, and the distinctively shaped mirror chair.
