21 Grams is a glass dildo part of a multi-sensory memory box

Just debuted at Milan Design Week 2015, 21 Grams is a memory box intended to help a grieving person create intimate, multi-sensory ruminations on a lost (and likely male-bodied) loved one. This, via sound, scent, and touch—namely, with familiar music, the deceased's fragrance, and an urn-containing dildo.

Dutch conceptual product designer and artist Mark Sturkenboom, the man behind the keepsake set, explains that after a loved one's passing “the missing of intimacy with that person is only one aspect of the pain” the survivor experiences. The wooden box, which expands to reveal several compartments, includes acoustic amplifiers to accommodate memorable music from a rear-mounted iPod or iPhone, a drawer to hold a personal effect or two from the deceased, and a scent diffuser for releasing that person's favorite cologne or perfume in life.
