Masterminded by a U.K. teen, PinIt is designed to record your travels, share them with friends, and nothing else

If you're looking to share your location and travel stories with friends but are sick of all the clutter on existing GPS-based apps, a teen-aged Brit shares your pain—and now has the solution.

PinIt is a location-tracking and sharing app for “recording your life's journey,” whether you're a hometown explorer or a member of the jet set.

Now seeking funding on Kickstarter through late April, the app lets users track their day-to-day and life-changing travels by pinning their locations to a personal map (with optional photo or video documentation) and either share their movements with contacts or keep them private.
