Tableau is a self-watering plant tray that runs on a nature-approved dry-and-wet cycle

Some homes or offices have dead plants, or fake ones, instead of natural plants that require upkeep and care. Tableau offers a chance for more environments to have healthy, growing plants even if you can’t always remember to water them. It only requires occasional refilling of its reservoir and the rest is done for you.

When it’s time to water a plant, Tableau automatically routes water from the reservoir into its storage base then cuts off the flow when the base is full. In this way, it’s not unlike the automatic pet waterers you’ve seen ads for since the late 20th century. Over a period of time, the tray waters the plants directly at their roots and gives them a few days to dry before starting the cycle anew.
