If you’re over 40, you might remember a trend of optical illusion desk ornaments that used mirrors to make it appear as if an object were levitating above its center. This century, the hot new desk trend involves actual levitation. Designed by Elivatrix, the LUNALUXX lamp has a curved frame with a downward facing light disk. In position—levitating just below the top of the light frame—the disk lights up to illuminate the area.
