Disney Research's robot walks on two feet with a familiar playful wobble

Unlike other two-legged robots, Disney Research’s robot stands-out because it has been developed and adapted from imaginary characters not humans. With a fictional animation as inspiration, the Disney’s robot walks is unlike anything we’ve seen before.

The robot prototype was built with 3D printing. Around 13 inches tall, it weighs 2.55 kg and is fitted with 12 motors that makes each joint move. Although now just a hip and the two legs, it seems the hardest part of building a walking character robot is over.
