For the launch of an IKEA Australia store, the interiors giant is taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to marketing by inviting customers to help 'build' the space

IKEA is renowned for its witty PR stunts and now they're taking things even further with their latest campaign for a new store opening in Marsden Park, Western Sydney.

Dubbed the world’s first Customer Built IKEA store, fans could actually apply for a rather odd array of job advertisements in the run up to the launch. First on the applications board is the Ultimate IKEA Assembler, who has to really know how to put the trickiest of products together in as little time possible.

Next up is the Ball Pit Tester, which is obviously aimed at kids who revel in the children's area and know exactly what makes the optimal ball pool.
