IKEA launches a breakfast cafe featuring a traditional Scandinavian breakfast, sleep tips, and nap time

As part of a marketing campaign to promote their bedding options, Swedish furniture company IKEA is bringing the breakfast in bed experience to the public. The company is opening the IKEA Breakfast in Bed Cafe in the Shoreditch district of East London on May 19 and 20.

The IKEA Breakfast In Bed Cafe will have guests dining on single and double IKEA beds instead of tables. The guests will have a chance to choose the type of pillows they want for their breakfast in bed experience and will be attended to by a team of specially trained waiting staff. They will be served a traditional Scandinavian breakfast, which typically consists of toast or pastry, fresh fruit, cheese, juice, tea and coffee. There will also be “sleep specialists” who will dole out tips on how to get a good night's sleep as well as answer related questions from the guests.
