Belgian designer Pierre-Emmanuel Vandeputte has developed a device to block emissions from almost all sources, providing total isolation and privacy. He calls it Cork Helmet.

As we all know, noise and hubbub clutter our world more than ever. With the advent of mobile communication technology, not only can we never escape our own telephone, texts and emails, but we are subject to the noise of everyone else’s as well. Everywhere, the brabble of ring tones, buzzes and conversations saturate the atmosphere—to say nothing of the constant flickering of video screens, computer monitors and smartphone images.
