Arduboy is a tiny gaming system that lets you play, create and share 8-bit games

Arduboy is a gaming system the size of a credit card with a brilliant OLED display and six soft-touch tactile buttons. The open platform enables gamers to play, create and share 8-bit games.

There is a selection of games published on the Arduboy Arcade, which are free, open source and available to be edited. Built on Arduino software, they offer a great way to learn how to program.

Free online tutorials guide users through a step-by-step process on developing their own software and there are plenty of examples to learn from. Gamers can let their imagination run wild by creating a new level or map for their favourite game or enhancing their character with improved skills such as making them jump higher.
