Users Can Become an Urban Designer With a Single Tweet
To celebrate World Environment Day, IBM's People 4 Smarter Cities will illustrate your vision for a more sustainable future
Today Ogilvy Paris and IBM’s People 4 Smarter Cities are hosting Sketch Backs, a daylong live-drawing event on Twitter where users tweet their ideas on how to make a city smarter and in return, illustrators will sketch their ideas in real-time to visually showcase them.
Studies show that if we keep consuming natural resources at the current rate, by 2050 we’ll need three planets to live sustainably. So in honor of the 42nd anniversary of the United Nations Environment Program’s World Environment Day, the participatory stunt aims to harness the power of collective action to make our cities smarter. We have the technology and talent to implement change, but IBM is searching for a few creative ideas that may kickstart the process.
