Mad Men, which ended on May 9, has revealed to viewers a world awash in the luxurious textures of a different time, beneath a layer of mystery about where the plot and characters were actually going. With the season finale leaving everything on a still-foggy note, the series will probably be discussed for decades to come. “Matthew Weiner’s Mad Men,” at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, jump-starts that conversation by allowing visitors to get closer to the mystique.
